Teaching is a profession! The way people learn technical skills, they should also learn how to teach. Tech geeks, after becoming an expert on certain area of technology, thinks, they can teach the way they are expert on technology. Its WRONG!! Not every tech guru can teach. It requires a certain skill to deliver your content to the students.

I built a million dollar company with no funding raised

I have 18 years of technology and entrepreneurial experience without raising a single funds, no angel, no VC… YES… you read it right. I build a technology company with my partner, it took us long time to make a million dollar mark but it was organic. That’s once of the difference building a company through your own funds.

I always have a fear of being left behind on latest technologies

Being a technology enthusiast, I always have a fear of being left behind on latest technologies when its changing on a very fast pace. Hence, I take technical courses quite frequently, to learn and also to get update on what is happening on the latest tech market. And its also because I am also running a mobile application platform for schools that consists of mobile app and cloud computing platform to manage schooling interface and payment aggregation. I will do another article on how to make your MVP successful, but for now if you want to get high level details, you can visit Skoolify.

the way he should deliver the course is not what I expected

Whichever course I take, 90% of the times the instructor and other participants are younger than me. I take courses where I have some interest and off-course some prior knowledge too. I recently took a course of DevOps, the instructor was excellent, an expert and very supportive. Doing an impressive job in his current job role but doing teaching as part time, however, the way he should deliver the course is not what I expected. DevOps specifically needs alot of hands-on, which in our case was only done by the instructor and since he was too much expert in that area, it never goes wrong. Taking student along with your content and engaging them, is what a good instructor should do.

In the end, I would emphasize on the fact that whenever you are teaching, make sure that you don't just deliver what you have, but also make sure that the participants are also digesting what is being delivered. Otherwise you are just making money and doing nothing for the economy. In fact, it wont last long and people might not be interested to attend your course.

PS: I am not a professional writer and above is my personal opinion. Anyone can have different opinion and suggestions are welcome.
